Privacy Policy

DevelopedWeb.com ("DevelopedWeb") respects the privacy of our clients. No information that a client provides to DevelopedWeb will be given out to any third-party without the full knowledge and consent of the client.

  1. Security—all data sent through the DevelopedWeb website is done using a direct SMTP e-mail connection, and backup copies are stored in a secure, password-protected database. To the knowledge of DevelopedWeb, the connections are secure, and any leak of information via such a connection is due to a third-party program’s failure to provide adequate security to protect against malicious attacks.
  2. Electronic Mail ("E-mail")—DevelopedWeb will not advertise, sell, or otherwise allow any third-party access to a client’s e-mail address without first requesting permission to do so from the client. Any e-mail addresses sent to DevelopedWeb will be used only by the employees and/or physicians employed by DevelopedWeb. No unsolicited e-mail ("spam") or mass-produced e-mail will be sent to the client by DevelopedWeb. E-mails will only be sent to a client if they are directly pertinent to the client or his/her relationship with DevelopedWeb. At any time, the client can choose to "opt out" of such e-mail. If a client chooses to opt out of all or most forms of communication with DevelopedWeb to the point where it becomes difficult for DevelopedWeb to contact the client, the client risks harming his/her relationship with DevelopedWeb.
  3. Postal Address—no newsletters, bulletins, or other forms of postal mail will be sent to the client without his/her permission, unless such mail is deemed necessary for the client’s relationship with DevelopedWeb. DevelopedWeb will not advertise, sell, or otherwise allow any third-party access to a client’s postal address without first requesting permission to do so from the client. At any time, the client can choose to "opt out" of such mail. If a client chooses to opt out of all or most forms of communication with DevelopedWeb to the point where it becomes difficult for DevelopedWeb to contact the client, the client risks harming his/her relationship with DevelopedWeb.
  4. General Contacts—if at any point the client chooses that he/she would rather be contacted via a specific method over all others (ie—phone, e-mail, etc.) and the client contacts DevelopedWeb and conveys this choice, DevelopedWeb will make a full effort to contact the client using the chosen method as a primary contact medium whenever appropriate.
  5. Our promise—DevelopedWeb will never give any client’s information away without the prior consent and knowledge of the client, no matter what the circumstances may be.

Payment Terms

  1. Time of Payment—payment will be made in full prior to the construction process of the website begins.
  2. Cancellation—should the client choose to terminate the contract held with DevelopedWeb, the client is entitled to request a partial refund, and one will be given by DevelopedWeb as the difference between the amount of time and effort that has already been put forth and the projected total for the project. This refund amount will be determined entirely by DevelopedWeb. Any innappropriate conduct (see below) by the client can nullify the possibility of a refund.
  3. Ownership—once the payment has been made by the client, the client retains ownership of any and all web pages, graphics, multimedia, database entries, and other information created by DevelopedWeb for the client. Until payment is made by the client, all work done by DevelopedWeb is copyrighted and may not be used without DevelopedWeb's prior consent.

Additions, Modifications, and Updates

  1. Website Maintenance—after DevelopedWeb has completed the work that was mutually agreed to in the initial online consultation, DevelopedWeb is no longer responsible for maintaining the client's website. Should a webpage become outdated and/or require updating, DevelopedWeb will do so at a rate determined by DevelopedWeb when contacted by the client regarding the issue.
  2. Corrections—if a problem is found on the website that requires correction by DevelopedWeb, and if the error was caused by DevelopedWeb, and if the website project was not deemed completed on a prior date, the client may request that DevelopedWeb correct the error at no extra cost. If DevelopedWeb determines that the error is such that communication from the client had not been sufficient in describing the desired task, and thus a difference in ideas had caused an error, additional fees may apply as deemed appropriate by DevelopedWeb. However, any errors that can be classified as misspellings, grammatical errors, broken links, and/or broken images will never cause such a fee under any circumstance, and will be fixed free of charge. Should a correction be needed after the project completion date, it is the responsibility of the client to correct the problem, or to contact DevelopedWeb with a description of the problem and be given a reasonable quote to have DevelopedWeb complete the work.

Inappropriate Conduct

  1. Spam—DevelopedWeb does not tollerate spamming of any kind. DevelopedWeb reserves the right to terminate services immediately upon discovery or notification of spamming.
  2. Malicious Acts—any malicious acts, including hacking, attempts at hacking, attempts to gain unauthorized access to restricted files, attempts to overload the server with mass submissions or page loads, or any other acts deemed harmful by DevelopedWeb can result in immediate legal action against any individuals involved to the full extent of the law.

Timeframe

  1. Estimated Time—if requested by the client, DevelopedWeb will provide an estimated timeframe for the work to be completed on the client's website. The date given by DevelopedWeb in such a manner is to be used only as an estimate, and does not in any way guarantee that work by DevelopedWeb will be completed on that date.
  2. Total Time Spent on Website—if the amount of time spent on a website exceeds the amount of time desired by either DevelopedWeb or the client, it is DevelopedWeb's responsibility to complete the task no matter how much more time is involved. Work that the client believes to have not been done in a "timely manner" will not have any legal ramifications on DevelopedWeb, as DevelopedWeb does not give any guaranteed timeframe for completion of work.

Web Promotion

  1. Success Rate—DevelopedWeb does not guarantee any specific success rate for websites it promotes that utilize e-commerce technologies. All work will be completed according to the specifications given by the client, but no guarantee of paying website traffic can be made.
  2. Search Engine Submissions—DevelopedWeb will submit the client's website to all search engines deemed appropriate by DevelopedWeb. This submission will take place following a thorough examination of the client's website, in which DevelopedWeb will provide the client with a free evaluation of the website's search engine weaknesses upon request.
